Yet another XKCD comic. It’s rather unfortunate that he’s right in this comic. Don’t people have any common sense?? Like using your mobile to post on Facebook that you’re stuck down a storm water drain, and not calling 000, instead relying on friends to do it for you… stupid people.

The USGS operates a really neat email/SMS earthquake notification service (earthquake.usgs.gov/ens/) that allows fine-grained control of notifications.

But there’s another one I really like. Reminds me of the Tetris craze on Facebook.

XKCD, you’ve done it again! This is a kinda in joke… ohk, more a geeky joke, like the geeky jokes on that app that Anthony (Liang) has on his iPod Touch.

The weird sense of duty really good sysadmins have can border on the sociopathic, but it's nice to know that it stands between the forces of darkness and your cat blog's servers.
