Beta
After over 2 months in the works as brand new theme, I have gone and done what Microsoft did with Windows Vista to Windows 7, or what Apple has done with OSX 10.5 to 10.6 (funny how they call it OSX meaning Operating System 10, and then put a version number of 10.X after it… much like Windows 7 has a version number of 6.1…). I’ve gone and UPGRADED!!!! *Insert loud gasp here*
Yeah, so, using a javascript library (a script or scripts which do much of the Javascripting for you for various things such as animation, grouping, etc., to which you make references in your own javascripting to save time and effort) called JQuery, I wrote up a script for the side bar to make it smaller. Also made a few minor improvements to the site design, but I’m still working on minimalising, streamlining and cleaning the code to be more efficient and neat. Although, with my CSS, I’m still gonna have it bloated by having a separate section for the typography of the page…
Looking good, except I think you should have it display some content initially when the user hasn’t clicked anything and not just a blank pane. That, or have it collapsed to nothing and then it expands once they’ve clicked on it instead of default content.
Holy crap this new layout is awesome.
And James is right!
I LOVE BUTTONS.
All web-designers should learn from you. Users like buttons not doing anything at all and.
Having nothing but buttons is better than having buttons & and content.
