W3C is gonna hate me…

The World Wide Web Consortium (WWWC or W3C) is gonna hate me for what I’ve done in this post. Actually, they hate Adobe and themselves, but that’s besides the point (they haven’t come up with a new method of embedding Flash files that works across all browsers, although the main reason is because Internet Explorer is an annoying program that wants to work its own way).

This is the Official Music Video of Guy Sebastian’s new single, Like It Like That.

So, yeah. Nice song.

‘scuse me

Excuse me as I cower in fear after being told that the cure to that tropical disease I apparently have (yeah right. You sure it’s a tropical disease? Maybe it’s stress?) is to have me beheaded. Now, I know that sounds drastic, but apparently it’ll cure just about anything…

So while my friends joke about that, I’ll get back to work =]

TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!

USYD Live

University of Sydney Live! was today. I’m sure many of my friends would’ve gone to have a look. Saw Jimmy in Yr 12 there (doubt he recognises me though), and Jolene.

It was interesting to see the uni from the inside, rather than looking at it from the outside. It seems helpful to me to have a look at what I’m thinking about doing in the future.
Nothing much else to sayz. Except I don’t look forward to Tuesday (History and IST exams, inadequate study for both, despite working on it for the past week), and week 9… and then the beginning of next term… But after that seems like an easy time, where I can probably look forward to a long period of time where I can work more on my website and programming/scripting abilites

Until then (or sometime)!! TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!

Just one thing

Just one, little, thing… or maybe more, depending on how I feel

Someone kill me. And after you’re done killing me, incinerate me, and once you’ve done that, scatter my ashes all over the place. And then once you’ve done that, go and destroy my room and all its belongings, and remove anything that was once mine from the house and utterly destroy them (unless you want to keep something of worth), and make sure every last physical piece of something that reminds the world of me is destroyed (digital stuff doesn’t count). Was

I was going to write a post about something, probably my poor time management skills, but then I decided that I had work to do, and I didn’t have the time to write a long post complaining about something, so, I’ll just end here =]

Life sux

And there’s nothing more to say.

Ohk, I’ll say a little more.

A piece of advice for you peoples who are reading this: Love is the most complicated, confusing, enjoyable and yet painful emotion you will ever experience, and as such, you should either be ready to feel plenty of some of the worst pain you’ll ever have in your life in between its bouts of joys it throws at you, or just plain old avoid it =P

With that pronouncement I shall now Read more »

Just remembered

Over a month ago, Allen & Urwin sent out an email to their subscribers of the Keys to the Kingdom newsletter that Garth Nix had sent in the first draft of the last book, Lord Sunday. The publishers have basically stated in that same email that we can expect the book early next year. So, my prediction of him bring it out the end of this year was a bit off, but I don’t care any more. I’m looking forward to Five Greatest Warriors.

Clueless

If I haven’t already mentioned it, I found this plug-in for WordPress which adds a ‘Like’ button. Thought it’d be pretty cool, so I added it. Now, just to add some custom CSS for it…

Recently been taking some of those “How Well Do You Know” someone quizzes on Facebook, and I’ve come to this conclusion after 4 quizzes: I don’t know my own friends. With my highest score being around 50%, that’s not that good really… After making my own quiz (25 questions long… I would’ve made it longer, but I wasn’t allowed to…) and seeing some of the results of my own quiz, I realise that many of my friends are like me, they only know (or guessed) one half of me correct. I guess we could all do with a bit of learning about each other.

That’s not to say that many of you could’ve easily answer many of those questions in my quiz if you had happened to read some of my blog posts where I blabbed on about this and that, unwittingly telling you (and the world) much about my life and myself. But I guess we can overlook that.

Having a quick glance at my blog, I’m thinking that I should go and find some plugins to jazz up my blog. Maybe some fancy AJAX stuff like what Facebook uses…

But now, about life. Not that much has happened. Went to the Sydney Opera House for the Pulse concert again this year, only this time I went as part of the School band rather than as part of the Occasional Orchestra (the orchestra formed for the Pulse concert each year). We were going to play ‘Spain’ (a latin song), but due to some mix up, the program said we were going to play Hopetown Holiday, so, that’s what we played. All the better for us, we felt. Instead of a small 2 minute song, we played a longer, 5 minute song (or was it 6 minutes?). Still, any time there is worth it. I mean, how often do you get to perform in the Sydney Opera House? Unless you become a good actor/singer/musician, not that often.

We were the only group there to not have the PULSE t-shirt. This year’s colour was purple. Last year it was that almost ugly teal. The year before it was red. I wonder what next year’s will be…

Maths common test coming up this Friday. Need to study, and finish assignments. So, TTFN, Ta-Ta-For-Now! (you just gotta love Tigger’s sayings)

Memory

If I were to compare my ability to remember stuff to many of my friends, I believe the analogy would look something like this: while they say their memory is like a sieve, collecting only the parts that don’t fall through, mine is like a bucket with the bottom cut out =]

Yeah, well, I guess my memory isn’t that bad, as I do remember some things (albeit things that are little or no relevance to most things of importance) and I have managed to memorise at least half of my exam pieces (funny how I can easily remember most of the 1st page, and that’s where it starts becoming fuzzy…)

Something else

After finally posting that last post just then, I’ve remembered that I have been rather neglecting my blog, and that I have completely forgotten if I had any planned use for my webspace other than a blog. Certainly, it isn’t costing me too much ($2.08 per month + $19.95 biannually) for it, so, I guess it isn’t a complete waste. Definitely more freedom associated with this plan.

Life has been a little busy lately. I don’t know what to do with myself. I feel so disorganised. If feel confused. What shall I do for Yr 11? Should I try Ext English and do only 12 units, or shall I do Music 2 and not Ext English? Questions swirl around my head. Like this one: What book should I read for English lesson next Tuesday? In all this confusion, I haven’t been able to keep up with saying Happy Birthday to people. I’ve absolutely no idea if anyone has had a birthday in the last… 7 or so days. So, if you have, Happy Birthday! If you haven’t, a Very Happy Un-Birthday to you!! Read more »

About

Hiya! I'm Ant, an aussie Teen living out in Sydney, Australia (and BTW, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney is not a real address... yet), and welcome to my blog. Hopefully you're not a stalker =]

Aside from blogging, I also have made some attempts at website & WordPress Theme design (as seen by my blog!), so expect some weird things on this site sometimes
