Nothing

Well, up, it would seem to me that nothing (or close to it) has happened in the past week or two (well, nothing too interesting) for me to talk about. I suppose I’ll find something to talk about. Time for school again, and I’m beginning to wish the holidays were longer (only so I could get all my work done). I’m kinda bored with life really. I mean (and sorry to all you people who love english) English is an extrememly boring subject (or perhaps it’s just having to listen to a teacher like Mr Van Loon) with the studying analysing of texts from long ago (aka weird poets and Shakespeare). Seriously, Shakespeare’s stories are nice, yes, but I don’t see how they are so special at showing society, or as an example of the English language. I mean, he spent more time making up ryhmes that don’t make sense rather than actually telling a story. He’s like those authors who are paid on a per-word basis (thinking about it, he probably was paid for how long the play was)… There are plenty of other things we could read, so why do we have to spend our entire secondary education life (and afterwards if you do English later) reading and trying to make sense of his cryptic ramblings he stuck into plays, and then having to write long winded essays which everyone knows are a load of bull about them?

If you couldn’t yet tell, I don’t like studying Shakespear in English. It’s just becoming stupid. Now, something that I’ve found interesting. Studying poetry written by a sain person: Robert Frost. Ohk, I still seem to find the analysis stuff boring, but hey, at least his writing makes sense no matter which time you’re in (trust the Americans to be easy to understand).

But apart from my loathing of the way ‘english’ is taught (seriously, it should be renamed “Sociology with a little bit of English skills thrown in for the sake of it“), I’m kinda enjoying being back at school. Being able to see my friends on a regular basis again. Having something to do and think about before I complain about having to do work =P Listening to teachers talking about wonderful stuff to learn (I wonder if these teachers practise their sales pitches before they talked to us about the subjects). Band and music. Talking about nothing in particular. Ahh…..

Oh, BTW, I feel bored =] I’ve come to this conclusion about life: It loves to make some people think (or maybe just me) that the purpose of life is to make you hate it, just to torture you, before showing you something that makes your heart swell, before disappointing you again because it’s really mean… (I could go on for ever with that).

Now, if only I could write my English practise essay as quickly and easily as I have done here. 500 words in under 10 minutes. I love being to just write what ever comes out the top of my head. This blog has been a blessing to me… I feel so lucky.

Aside from blogging, I also have made some attempts at website & WordPress Theme design (as seen by my blog!), so expect some weird things on this site sometimes
