Debate

Yeah, even though you all know it, 9EN7 won the debate, purely upon having ‘easier to follow arguments’. Otherwise both teams were neck for neck. Or, that’s how I remember it…

Flute Ensemble concert soon… what day is it again?? wait… I put it in my phone… and the end of school is nearing. Christmas is close and it’s the end of November, which also means the end of Spring, the beginning of Summer and frantic christmas shopping, people going on holidays and (for the people who still do it) pinches and punches for the 1st day of the month.

I’ve just found out that Adobe has released the trials for CS4, so now I can install Adobe Flash CS4 Pro and Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 without the installer saying to me that I need 2GB of ram… or so I think… silly Adobe Premier Pro CS4 with your top-end computer requirements… I wonder if Adobe have added support for experimental CSS3 properties in Dreamweaver yet… nah, they wouldn’t've. That would be in a new version (when the W3C finally release CSS3…).

Anywhos… Something… oh, yeah… PDM, yay to the fact that we’ve mostly finished filming (we missed one scene), I managed to copy the files from the camera and can now edit them (AVCHD ->Advanced Video Codec High Definition -> Only a few programs can edit it, e.g. the newest Vegas, Premier Pro CS4, Pinnacle Studio12+). Editing is going to be hard on my computer, I mean, come on, I’m editing HD!! Adobe Premier Pro CS4 requires a MINIMUM 2GB RAM, 2.8GHz Dual Core processor and 4GB HDD space to do HD!!!!! I’m lucky Pinnacle studio has lower requirements (at the cost of less ability). Soon I’m gonna have to do IST video stuff as well… Kevin Zhu (the tall one), we need to actually start FILMING!! You know, using a video camera? Stop procrastinating!! How come I’m the only one to have done work? Pull your weight already!…. That wasn’t needed, but it’s true, and I feel better now strangely…

Spring Fair

Fairly good… ohk, it was just about the best school day ever… a few blemishes here and there, still great none-the-less. Starting the day with English, the 1st two periods soon went past. We watched the end of the movie we’ve been watching and attempted to finish reading the play before the noises outside became too loud, and we just gave up and the class deteriorated into a rabble while we waited for spring fair.

Time for spring fair came, and people started roaming around the stalls. Food, treats, food, food, items, games, food, drinks, soul purpose, food. Mainly food. That’s the kinda stalls there were, and that’s the kinda things we bought/did.

The day was spent roaming around the school, talking to friends, buying stuff from the stalls, enjoying the day. In the TLC they were playing dvds, and at one point they were playing Scrubs. In the hall there was ‘Are You Smarter Than A Baulko Teacher’… I didn’t watch it, but I think half the student teams won or something. Would’ve been fun to hear what Mr Dennett would’ve said…

Kevin Zhu (agro one) and some of his friends had a stall selling Iced Tea, biscuts and a few other sweet things. I liked the iced tea… trust Lipton to make a great Iced tea mix…

Rides!! The rides were nice. There was a slide, and I kept running up and sliding down (nah DUH!). So much fun. Jasmin, on the other hand, has a very peculiar (or so I think) way of climbing up the ‘ladder’. Very strange indeed…much like a dog or cat going up some stairs… Also there was a ‘Bungie’ thingo which apparently was a rip-off, Sumo-Wrestling and Jumping Castle (which I ended up not going on in the end…)!!

The day was going well. The CS comp in the library, punctuated by all the screens and 1 whiteboard being used to play SSBB (Super Smash Brothers: Brawl)… I don’t know who won the Tournament, but I know people who joined in had fun. For all the people that love to play games, that was their chance…

Baulko’s Got Talent saw several entries, several dancing, many signing. And Jimmy won again (he’s really good….). The dance elective class also had a performance. Would one of you dancers tell me why you never dance to the whole song? Why stop halfway? Would it be too long?….

Anyway. Fun day on the whole, lots of good food, games and items to be bought, played and got… and it was an awesome day… and… and… and… I don’t know what else.

P.S. Why am I so slow at writing up a recount for something that happened…. a week and 1 day ago?

We wish you a…

Happy Birthday!! Happy birthday to Sandra today!! Happy birthday to Sonya tomorrow!! Happy birthday to Adeline yesterday!! Happy birthday to whoever I have forgotten, when ever their birthday was!!

Need to catch up on posting about stuff…

Celebration

Happy Birthday Tim!!

Music for Christmas

The Baulko Band Christmas Concert ’08. It was a good night. Performing in two bands and an ensemble, I was sure to be not hearing half the concert… Read more »

Catching Up

Catching up to the rest of the world… well, after noticing that my blog is lagging behind the large events that have currently happened (Spring Fair and Music Night, for example?). Those will be talked about soon.

On a smaller note, after taking into consideration the 3 opinions of my current theme design, I’m slowly making changes to it, the most noticable at the moment being the removal of the tags (took too much effort to think of them anyway…). Soon, on the adivce from Jasmin, I’ll be choosing matching greens. And I needed to do something about what Sean said… was it mention him, or something else?… Oh yes… must remind myself to start desiging his game ideas…

Opinions

Opinions are personal views. What one person’s opinion is might not be what another person’s opinion is. But why am I talking about this? I’m talking about it because I’m about to ask you, my readers, for your opinion. EDIT: This is officially post 150. Read more »

Time goes on

Officially the 150th post published on this blog. And what is it about? It’s about me complaining about my horrible horrible performance in the recent exams, but on a happier note: THE EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER!!!!! Just the IST topic test to do…

BUT NOW YEAR 9 OF BAULKHAM HILLS HIGH SCHOOL IS FREE OF THEIR MAJOR EXAMS!!! YAY!!! Read more »

Blog stats

WordPress has long been the best CMS (Content Management System) for bloggers. It’s what I’m using. I like the blog stats it has. And from about halfway through last year, a group of people had written a plug-in for the Admin to view their blog stats. Read more »

Moving Forward

Ohk, so 3 exams down, 3 to go… at least I can count. Maths, Commerce and PDM to go…

Just got my new Piano exam book today. The new series 16 book. It costs $59.95!!!!!!! Oh well. The cover is definately nice. I wonder if the pieces in it are good…. Of cause, this means that I am now officially starting my Eighth Grade Piano Exam (or, at least am preparing for it). I’m already predicting that I’ll do terribly in it… But before I get to the hour long exam for that, I need to actually do my 4th grade theory exam.

Fernand Leger is an annoying French guy that we have to know about for PDM. Commerce with Dumas has taught me that I should pay 100% attention to the stuff we’re supposed to learn and not the jokes and sidetrack stuff that happens. Maths has taught me that I will never ever master any of it. That was random.

Hiya! I'm Ant, an aussie Teen living out in Sydney, Australia (and BTW, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney is not a real address... yet), and welcome to my blog. Hopefully you're not a stalker =]

Aside from blogging, I also have made some attempts at website & WordPress Theme design (as seen by my blog!), so expect some weird things on this site sometimes
