Week’s just about over
So this week is just about over, my brother is failing at playing Mario Kart DS, I’ve got an assignment for IST to do where we have to make a family tree of some sort using a database, and I’ve finished my NAPLAM tests. This week we also got back some of our results for various exams: Geo half-yearly, just about everyone did badly, and I got 33/50; Science, eye test (test on things about the eye) I got 29/32, half-yearly, I got 44/49; Maths, I did terribly this time, I didn’t revise enough, I got 45/59. We are yet to find out our marks for our English essays, and are yet to do our History essay.
Have a PULSE rehearsal this Saturday, wonder how it’ll go. Concert Band workshop in a month, and my b’day is only 2 months away!! Which reminds me, Happy Birthday to Kevin Zhu (the tall one) who turned 15 on the 15th lol
We’ve got a whole day teacher’s strike on Thursday, so we don’t need to go to school that day, but the Rio Tinto Big Science Competition is on that day, so I wonder what those people are going to do…
Daniel Lamp’s birthday is the day before we do our UNSW Science comp, and then we go on camp the day after that. Life is going ok, I got a cold recently (about a week and a half ago now…) but I’m slowly getting rid of it. Least, I think it’s a cold…. don’t think it was the flu. Anyways… Apparently you’re only infectious with the flu or cold 3-5 days before you show symptoms or something… so, since I got this after everyone else in the house… hmm.. whatever. I’ll never work out how I got it, so what’s the point?
Science today, we looked for micro organisms in our hay infusions, and the hay infusions stunk. But we did get to play around with the school microscopes. History, we watched that DVD by the Sydney Morning Herald about the ANZACs, English, we finished watching ‘The Truman Show’ (good movie), and then discussed the reality of how most of that couldn’t be possible, or would be very hard for when it was made. Commerce, since Mr Dumas was off with the touch footy players at some knockout game, we had Mr. Franklin, and after a bit of fun talk, we had to endure an ‘old’ video about Nike (this is after watching Coca-cola vs Pepsi and the story behind McDonald’s videos with Dumas). Maths was a near bludge, where we started reviewing geometry rules about congruent triangles. All up, a normal, near boring day at school. Soul Purpose was fun though, we had a sorta quiz game today (Family Feude style), and we came up with a few weird answers.
